Burlington County College Drama Club
Lamplight Players Award

The Lamplight Players Award is available to graduating Burlington County College students who will be continuing to pursue studies in the performing arts or performing arts education.  The award recognizes students who possess the talent, desire and dedication to continue in the performing arts.

Award Value
Each award will be in the form of a check made payable to the recipient with the expectation that students utilize the money for pursuing their career in the performing arts.  The total annual award is $500.00 to be awarded to the most qualifies graduating student(s).

Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must submit an award application and personal statement, along with an official BCC transcript and appropriate letters of recommendation.  The Lamplight Players Award has been developed for graduating BCC students who:

• Ae continuing to pursue studies in the performing arts or performing arts education
• Are active members of the Drama Club and/or have contributed to BCC performing arts events
• Demonstrate talent and dedication to the performing arts
• Have achieved a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.5

Letters of Recommendation
Each applicant is required to submit at least one letter of recommendation (additional letters are welcome)
from Burlington County College faculty, excluding members of the Drama Award Committee, or representative of school or community organizations in which the applicant is serving or has served.  The letters MUST be typewritten and signed.

Selection and Award Process
Application will be reviewed and recommendations made for the award by the Burlington County College Drama Lamplight Players Award Committee.  The committee will review applications for the extent of each student's community college production involvement, academic achievement and the quality of letters of recommendations.
