College's and Universities must publish and distribute their Title Two Student Right to Know Campus Security Act Annual Crime Report by October 1st, each year. This report is also known as The Jeanne Clery Act, named after a young women who was murdered in her dorm room while attending a university. http://www.securityoncampus.org/
Institutions of higher education are mandated to report certain crimes that occur on or around college campuses for the previous three years. The report included in the attached link details all reported incidents from 2008-2010. Incidents documented in 2011 will be included in next year's report.
Notifications of incidents involving safety concerns are communicated to students using the college’s emergency messaging system, Black Board Connect Ed, and by posting Alerts on Campus as well as the home page of BCC.
