Welcome from Program Director
The Radiography Program Faculty welcome you as a new or returning student. Our goal is to provide you with a high quality radiography education that prepares each of you as a compassionate and competent radiographer in today's high-tech health-care workplaces. Mission and Goals
Mission
The mission of the radiography program is to provide educational experiences so that a student may develop academically, clinically and professionally into competent, entry-level radiographer.
Student Learning Goals
- Goal 1: Students will have knowledge and skills required to be clinically competent in all radiographic tasks necessary for an entry level radiographer:
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will apply positioning skills.
- Students will select technical factors.
- Students will utilize safe radiation protection practices.
- Students will attain the technical knowledge appropriate for an entry level technologist on the ARRT examination.
- Goal 2: Students will demonstrate communication skills
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will demonstrate written communication skills.
- Students will demonstrate oral communication skills.
- Goal 3: Students will develop critical thinking skills.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will adapt standard procedures for non-routine patients.
- Students will critique images for diagnostic quality.
- Goal 4: Students will model professionalism.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Students will demonstrate a good work ethic.
- Students will participate in personal and professional growth opportunities.
Program Effectiveness Goals
- Goal 1: Five-year average credentialing examination pass rate of not less than 85 percent at
first attempt.
- Goal 2: For each of the last five years, job placement rate of not less than 75% within six
months for those graduates actively seeking employment.
- Goal 3: Annual program completion rates, 80 percent of the students will complete the
program within 3 years of program start.
- Goal 4: Graduates will express satisfaction with the program, 80 % of respondents will of
graduates will rate the program good or superior on the alumni survey.
- Goal 5: Employer will express satisfaction with the graduates of the program as assessed on
the employer survey, 80% of respondents will rate graduates with 4 pts or greater
points out of 5 pts.
