Welcome to BCC's Psychology page. The psychology program at BCC offers a range of courses designed to meet the varied interests and needs of undergraduate students. The aim of the program is to provide as many different and flexible opportunities as possible since students with diverse backgrounds are welcome into the program. In order to attain this flexiblity, the program is cross-disciplinary in its approach to psychology and to related academic professional fields of endeavor.

Psychology is of direct vocational use in many career areas, such as education, social work, medicine, and industry, and is a requirement in many professional and para-professional fields.

Psychology, as a liberal arts subject, should be of interest to many students since it offers them a scientific framework for understanding their own feelings, thoughts, and behaviors and to some extent the behavior of their
fellow humans.
