Tentative Final Project
The
final project is a website for a veterinary clinic. You will combine several
key concepts from the curriculum with the lab exercises completed in GoLive,
PhotoShop, Live Motion, and Illustrator. In planning the website and writing
the required documents, specifically address the following sections from the
curriculum:

The following documents must accompany the finished website:
- Requirements document
- Hierarchical chart showing website structure
- Testing and Maintenance Plan/Proposal
Your site MUST accommodate the following:
- A home page [index.htm or index.html]
- Clinic services page
- Map/location of the clinic
- Clinic hours
- Profiles of the veterinarians and staff
- Links page with links to appropriate external pet sites
- A site map
- Photos of the vets/staff (members of the group)
- For a higher grade include the following elements:
- An original logo using Adobe Illustrator
- Rollover buttons
- At least one Adobe LiveMotion or Flash effect
The project is worth 20% of your class grade. Grading will be based, at least in part, on the rubric
linked from our class webpage. Grades for the project will be assigned in
the following categories:
- Requirements
document showing evidence of planning (4% of class grade)
- Hierarchical
chart showing website structure and navigational scheme (4% of class
grade)
- Website
Development - actually building a working website (8% of class grade)
- Testing
and Maintenance Plan/Proposal (4% of class grade)
A portion of the grade for each category will be based on how well your
group functions as a team.
Your group will present/demo the website on Tuesday 05/04/2004. Late projects will be assigned a grade of
zero!
