VALE Virtual Catalog Burlington County College Library is a member of VALE, the state-wide consortium of New Jersey academic libraries. One of the benefits of VALE is the Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement, which allows on-site borrowing of materials by faculty and staff at participating institutions. How to Obtain a Reciprocal Borrowing Card
- Faculty and staff must be in good standing with the BCC Library
- Faculty and staff must have a valid BCC photo ID
- Obtain a signed VALE Reciprocal Borrowing Application Form from Sherri Glass by telephone at 609-894-9311, ext. 1244, or by email at sglass@bcc.edu
- Take the original signed application along with a valid BCC photo ID to the lending library's circulation desk to obtain a guest borrowing privileges card
- Guest card is valid for one academic year which expires on June 30th
- Borrowers are responsible for all items borrowed, including fees and charges, and must comply with the lending library's circulation policies
- Borrowed materials must be returned directly to the lending library
- Borrowers must present a new signed application form from the home institutution to renew borrowing privileges
- Borrowers can search the virtual catalog to see which participating libraries own the item(s)
