Get a Library Card

On-Campus Student Distance Learning Student
  • If you take ANY face-to-face courses on the Pemberton or Mount Laurel campus, follow the standard procedures for on-campus students.

  • Call or email the library.  You will need to provide
    • your BCC ID number (or the last four digits of your Social Security number
    • your first and last name
    • your address and phone number
    • It will take 2-3 business days to process your information.
    • You library barcode number will be sent to your BCC email address.

Information for Faculty

Library Instruction

Reference librarians are available to conduct tours, present lectures and give computer demonstrations of electronic resources. To schedule instruction, submit an Instruction Request Form.

Request for New Library Materials

The library welcomes suggestions for new items (books, journals, DVDs, etc.) for the library collections. A Purchase Recommendation can be submitted by faculty and staff.

VALE Virtual Catalog

VALE (Virtual Academic Library Environment of New Jersey) Virtual Catalog is an online union catalog of New Jersey Academic Libraries.  Through VALE's Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement, Burlington County College faculty and staff have onsite guest borrowing privileges from participating institutions.

Teleconference Center
A comfortable state-of-the art technological meeting room is available for BCC and public functions. This instructional meeting room seats 75 people. To schedule the room, contact Scott Abbamonte (for internal groups) and Celia Morgan (for external groups).

Special Collections
The Pemberton facility is the designated repository for the Pinelands Collection. This facility also maintains the following collections:

  • Pinelands Collection
    • The Pinelands Commission has designated the BCC library as the official repository for the countless volumes of documents, books and other memorabilia on the Pinelands, a unique region of New Jersey.
  • Lou Gaul Cinema Collection
    • Donated by Lou Gaul of the Burlington County Times, this collection houses videos, DVDs and texts highlighting the best of American and World Cinema.
  • Welsh Memorial Collection
    • Robert G. Welsh is a former senior professor from the Liberal Arts department who donated his personal library to the college. It is now maintained as a collection in the Burlington County College Library in his memory.
  • Educator's Professional Development Collection
  • Center for Social Justice
    • This collection was initiated to address issues related to social tolerance, in particular, holocausts, religious intolerance, rights of the oppressed, materials on ethnic cleansing and other related issues.

BLInC Consortium
Burlington County College Library is an academic partner of BLInC, the Burlington Libraries Information Consortium.  BLInC is a dynamic group of libraries in Burlington County that share resources and technology providing convenient, computerized access to the wide range of resources available throughout the consortium. Current BLInC membership includes the Burlington County Library, its six branches and Bookmobile, the Library Company of Burlington City, the Florence Township Public Library, Beverly Public Library, Crosswicks Community Library in Chesterfield Township, Delanco Public Library, Mt. Holly Library, Riverside Public Library and Sally Stretch Keen Memorial Library in Vincentown.

Items from BCC and MLT can be requested and picked up or returned at any of the BLInC locations.

Borrow-a-Book Club
Borrow-a-Book Club is a service provided by the Burlington County Library System enabling customers to easily organize a book discussion group for 2 - 10 people. Learn more here.
