As a BCC student, you are
eligible to take part in a countywide program, currently in five school
districts: Beverly, Bordentown, Edgewater Park, Moorestown and Pemberton.
Here’s how it works: The school district refers
students who need tutoring to the P.A.S.S. Office at the College. The College
then assigns a tutor who gives after-school instruction to the students in that
district. The district provides the lesson plans and instructional materials.
Tutoring sessions, which begin immediately after the school day on Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, last for 90 minutes per session.
As a P.A.S.S. tutor, you will “pass along” your
knowledge to younger students who need your academic support to achieve
academic success. The P.A.S.S.
experience will look great on your resume- especially if you are an education
major; however, students of any major are encouraged to apply. You must have a
G.P.A. of 2.75 or higher.
For Further
information, contact Stuart Keen, Job Placement Coordinator, and ext 1280 at
(609) 894-9311 or (856) 222-9311.
