HESI Assessment Test for Health Information Technology

The HIT HESI test will consist of questions in the following categories:

ENGLISH LANGUAGE:

Reading Comprehension
Vocabulary and General Knowledge
Grammar

MATH:

Basic Math Skills

SCIENCE:

Anatomy and Physiology

PERSONALITY PROFILE:

Personality Profile

 

Passing score is achievement of a minimum of 75% in EACH category; English Language, Math, Science (not cumulative score) in one sitting. You may take the test a maximum of two times. Results will be good for two years from the date of the test.

 

Time to take the test: 4 hours, 10 minutes.
Approximately 275 questions.

If you have not taken math, English or Biology courses recently, you may want to consider taking a course prior to taking the HESI test. English 101, MTH107 Statistics and BIO 110, 111, 114, and 115 Anatomy and Physiology I and II with labs are general education courses that apply to the program and may help prepare for the HESI test.
