Joyce
M. Matheson, RHIT
Ms. Matheson has over 15
years of experience in health information management. She is a graduate
of Burlington County College, the California College of Health Sciences and the
American Health Information Management Associations Independent Study
program. She is currently pursuing a Healthcare Administration degree.
Ms. Matheson is actively
involved in the NJ Health Information Management Association having held
numerous positions on the board of directors since 1994. She is a strong
advocate for student involvement. She is also a member of a Speakers
Bureau promoting the health information profession. These activities
earned her the prestigious AHIMA "Motivator" Triumph Award in 1998.

Susan
P. Scully, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P
Ms. Scully has been in
the healthcare field since 1980. She has a degree in Medical Office
Assisting from Burlington County College. After working in patient care for
several years her interests turned to medical records. She received her
degree in health information through the AHIMA Independent Study program and
Burlington County College. In 2005 she received a degree in Health
Information Administration from Stephens College.
Ms. Scully has published
in "For the Record" and worked with the NJ Department of Education,
as well as with a coding software company on a technical advisory
committee. She also worked with the New
Jersey Health Information Management Association as a committee member and
Public Relations committee chair.
Ms. Scully has
specialized in coding since 1988. She earned her Certified Coding
Specialist credential in 1992 and the Certified Coding Specialist-Professional
certification in 1998. She also conducts the CCS/CCS-P certification
review classes and the coding portion of the RHIT review classes.
She is currently the
Instructional Assistant in the Health Information Technology program at
Burlington County College.

Carolyn
D. Magnotta, RHIA, CPHQ
Ms. Magnotta began her
health information career in 1978. She is a graduate of the AHIMA
Independent Study Program and Southern Illinois University. She earned her
Certification of Healthcare Quality Professionals in 1993.
She has authored company
newsletters entitled "To the Point About the Joint" and "Health
Information Management Newsletter". She is currently the Chairman of
the Data Quality Committee of the NJHIMA and has created and managed their web
site.
Ms. Magnotta has been an
advisor to the NJ Peer Review Organization for the PEPP Program, Seventh Scope
of Work and Special Projects Coordinator for the HCFA Severity of Illness
program.

Ms. Phelps has been in the
healthcare field since 1987. She is a graduate of Burlington County
College.

O’Brien has over eight years experience as a professional in healthcare
quality management. She is a graduate of
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She has earned her Certification of
Healthcare Quality Professionals in 2000.

Scott has a combined twenty-plus years in the health information management and
legal profession. He began his career in
1985 as a graduate of Northeastern University where he received his
Bachelor’s of Science in AHIMA’s Health Information Management
program. In 1992 he received his
Master’s of Science in Health Administration and in 1997 a Juris
Doctorate in Law.
