The Centers for Disease Control estimates food borne illness cause
325,000 hospitalizations, 76 million illnesses and 5,000 deaths per year.
Coordinated with the Burlington County Health Department. The
purpose of this course is
to train food handlers in safe practices in order to prevent food borne
illness. This course is for managers and employees from the trainee to the
seasoned veteran and it will apply to all retail and institutional
establishments. Up-to-date information and techniques from recognized
authorities will be provided. The course is also useful for the family cook and
the backyard barbecue expert.

facility be formally trained in food service sanitation.
