Culinary Arts:

Students taking culinary classes in high school or vocational schools can earn credit towards a Food Service & Hospitality Management (FSM) A.A.S. degree at Burlington County College.  Contact the FSM Director for the latest list of schools.

Students seeking a 2 year Culinary Arts degree can start their education at Burlington County College.  To help ease the transition into college, it is recommended students take some or all of these courses locally before transferring to a culinary school:

                    Written Communications
                    Natural Science with Lab
                    Computer Science
                    Arts and Humanities
                    Social Science
                    History
                    Elementary Nutrition

Other advantages to starting college studies at a local community college:

                    Close to home: family, friends, continue with current job.
                    Less expensive than setting up another residence in an apartment or dormitory.
                    Can take classes part-time: evening, day, weekend, and/or during the summer
                    Less expensive tuition.

Management:

Burlington County College can be a place to start if your goal is to get a 4 year degree in Hospitality or Food Service Management.

        Widener University, PA
        Baltimore International College, MD
        Drexel University, PA
        Delaware Valley College, PA

Articulation agreements between Burlington County College and 4 year schools exist.  An articulation agreement establishes the policy that a student at a 2 year school who completes a specific program will enter the 4 year school as a junior, and courses completed will be awarded credit towards a 4 year degree.  Contact the FSM Director for the latest list of schools.
