COURSE GRADES
 
GENERAL POLICY:

    - Exams make up the majority of the grade (50 to 60%)

      -- Exams are multiple choice

    - The remainder of the grade comes from a class project, workbook assignments, in-class
        activities, and make-up work for any absence(s)

      -- Make-up work is graded carefully and can impact (lower) the final grade if incomplete or
            inaccurate

    - Grade calculations in each course may vary slightly
 
     -- Details are in the syllabus which is given to students during the first day of class

GRADE SCALE:

 - Mid Term Grade:       S =  70 average or greater
                                        U =  < 70 average

    - Final Grade:            A  =   90 - 100
                                     B+  = 85 < 90
                                     B  =    80 < 85
                                     C+  = 75 < 80
                                     C  =   70 < 75
                                     D  =   60 < 70
                                     F   =   <60

MID-TERM FEEDBACK:

    - Mid-term grades are posted in the classroom

    - Students who are performing  marginally or unsatisfactorily receive a written notice

       -- Listing grades for exams, workbook, class participation, and overall grade

       -- Recommendations for improvement
