Hospitality managers work in a variety of positions and establishments.  Some  professionals embark on careers requiring additional education, experience and certification.  These careers can be very rewarding and they are in demand.  Food Service Management & Hospitality courses and degrees can be a start to these careers.  If you do not have any work experience in the hospitality field, it is strongly suggested that you get an entry-level position in the industry.  This will give you insight to the challenges and rewards of the hospitality and food service profession.  A starting point for students is the BCC Job Placement Web Page: http://www.bcc.edu/jobs.  Also consider calling or e mailing the Director of Food Service & Hospitality Management for a list of local employers seeking employees.

Certified Dietary Manager
Work in hospitals, long term care, schools, correctional facilities and other settings
Qualifications:
- Degree or accredited course
- National examination

Restaurant Manager
Establishes goals and objectives to attain and maintain Total Customer Satisfaction; operations, marketing, profits, training, employee development, administration, service, culinary are responsibilities and can be areas of specialization.
Qualifications:

School Foodservice & Nutrition Specialist
Work in schools and colleges
Qualifications:
- Associate degree
- One year of experience in school foodservice
- 30 semester hours of specialized training beyond an Associate Degree in foodservice management, business, nutrition or related field (work experience may be substituted)
- National exam

Qualifications:
