SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION

 
SCHOLARSHIP TITLE:
Robert L. Schattner Teen Leadership
PURPOSE:
To offer teens who are active in programs at the YMCA of Burlington County (The Family Y) the opportunity to attend Burlington County College tuition-free.

AMOUNT OF AWARD:
Full tuition and fees for one academic year. Depending on a student’s needs, he/she may be eligible to receive additional aid toward the purchase of textbooks. For this reason, applicants are encouraged to also apply for financial aid through the Burlington County College Financial Aid Office.

APPLICATION AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

NOTE- If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, DO NOT use the regular BCC Foundation Scholarship Application. Special applications for the Schattner Teen Leadership Scholarship are available from the YMCA of Burlington County at its Burlington and Mt. Laurel locations.

  • Full-time resident of Burlington County
  • Attend a South Jersey high school
  • Maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least “B” at the high school level
  • Be actively involved in at least one program at the YMCA of Burlington County
  • Plan to enroll at Burlington County College as a full-time student
  • Submit completed application with required essay and letters of recommendation
