Writing About Literature

In general, I am a big fan of students who regularly do what they can do to succeed. Sometimes things come up in a semester that are out of your control, but if you make every effort to communicate with me in a timely manner, I am more than happy to make accommodations. If you know you will be absent, as long as you let me know why and take responsibility for the work missed, I have no reason to be concerned. Effective literary analysis is complemented by various viewpoints. For this reason, it is imperative that all students participate in discussions regularly. I expect fulfillment of the requirements of all assignments, consistent attendance, appropriate conduct toward classmates, and an overall positive contribution to the class.
