Upon
completion of the course, students will be able to write paragraphs(100-150
words) which have:
- A clear
and limited topic sentence focused on tone idea.
- Clear
sufficient, relevant, specific and concrete examples
- Correct
beginning grammar using simple present, present progressive, simple
past and past progressive verbs.
- Subject/verb
and pronoun/antecedent agreement.
Appropriate punctuation.
- Correct
simple sentence structure with acceptable syntax.
An appropriate concluding sentence.
- Demonstrate
knowledge of beginning grammar, usage, and sentence structure by identifying
errors of:
- Simple
present, present progressive, simple past and progressive verbs.
- Subject/verb
and pronoun/antecedent agreement.

- Correct
intermediate grammar using

perfect, present perfect progressive, future, verbs

- Gerunds/infinitives
- A variety
of sentence styles and types
- Conclusion
that reinforces the thesis
- Demonstrate
knowledge of intermediate grammar usage, sentence structure by identifying
errors of:
