Stories of Activities Last Year
Voorhees Pediatrics
" A plethora of activities have been available through the Education Club at Burlington County College; the assistance I provided at the Voorhees Pediatric Hospital was the most memorable. In one session I obtained an official introduction to working directly with disabled children and provided the children with the gift of companionship. In addition, the group was able to aid the children in creating an ornament to illuminate their rooms, while the children brightened everyone's holiday season simply by smiling in appreciation. "

Camp Ockanickon field trip Spring 2002:
" We had a great time at Camp Ockanickon. The club went knowing the things we were about to do would become a learning experience based on being able to assess a situation and solve it with the group and as a group. Everyone in the group learned some new skills and gained great insight on how to look beyond 'normal' ways it group problem solving. We also learned to accommodate for different needs that may arise from person to person. This is something that may stick son to person. This is something that may stick with us for a long time and will most likely become useful as we enter our careers. "
