From hot and cold kitchens, pantries and bake shops, to beverage, bread, and baking formula technology labs, the CAHT facility will offer state-of-the-art facilities, plus the highest quality industry equipment, tools, and food supplies.

Demonstration Hall and Theater

The centerpiece of the Culinary Arts, Hospitality & Tourism programs, the spectacular Demonstration Hall is a teaching theater with tiered seating for 100. It will provide every high-tech amenity to support televised culinary instruction with multiple flat screens for internal audiences, plus state-of-the art video transmission capability to any remote





Production Kitchen

Designed as a full-service restaurant kitchen with state-of-the-art equipment, the Production Kitchen will teach line cooking and provide students with a "real-life" kitchen experience. It will also be used to prepare meals for the Café. Anyone renting the Culinary Hall (upstairs) will also be able to use this facility to produce their meals.






Open to public, the 47-seat Café will be situated in the historic bank building and will serve student-prepared and student-served meals through midday.






Art and Cooking Supplies Store

With a boutique look and feel, the store will carry art supplies for classes, and cooking supplies for students, as well as cookbooks, cutlery, and high-end, unusual cooking gadgets. It will be open to both students and the public.




History Preserved

Located within the Mount Holly Historic District, the new Culinary Arts, Hospitality & Tourism program will be housed in the former Farmers Trust Company Bank. The building was constructed in multiple phases, beginning with the original building (circa 1814) and a rear addition (1928).

The structure is the second oldest bank building in New Jersey and an excellent surviving example of the Federal architectural style. The building itself is a two and one-half story “central block with wing” structure with walls of Flemish bond brick. The building was included in the New Jersey State Historic Registry in 1972 and the National Historic Registry in 1973.


LEED Certified at the Gold Level for True Sustainable Design

The renovation of the Farmers Trust Bank as the home of the Culinary Arts, Hospitality & Tourism programs at BCC has been designed to achieve a LEED™ Certified rating.

The design will feature 17 adaptive re-use and urban infill elements, including:
