COMBASE is a consortium of community colleges from across the United States who voluntarily joined together for the purpose of: identifying, validating and employing exemplary practices in community-based and performance-oriented Education; and sharing our expertise and experiences through research, publications, professional development programs, networking, and other means.

We typically plan one conference per year, usually in September, at the location of a consortium member. This year, Cuyahoga Community College and North Central State College co-hosted the conference in Cleveland. Last year, Delgado Community College hosted the conference in New Orleans, and the 2004 conference is scheduled for Kansas City. We also conduct an annual business breakfast at the annual convention of the AACC in the Spring.

Membership dues are $500, payable annually upon receipt of the COMBASE invoice mailed in late May. Membership is effective for fiscal year July 1-June 30. Membership dues are used to cover conference expenses, the AACC Breakfast, publications, and other costs associated with the operation of the Consortium.
