Welcome To COMBASE
Established in 1974 by ten community colleges with a common interest in community-based education, COMBASE has become a leading organization in the nation with approximately sixty institutions. COMBASE membership is strong and growing!
The purpose of COMBASE is:
To identify, validate and employ exemplary practices in community-based and performance-oriented education; and
To share expertise and experience through research, publications, professional development programs, networking and other means.
Calendar Events 
Annual COMBASE Conference
Due to budget cuts and travel restrictions, this year's annual COMBASE
conference, scheduled August 30-September 1 in Portland, OR, has been
canceled. It will be held next year, and information will be posted as
soon as it is finalized.
Electronic Bulletin Board 
In September of 2000 COMBASE began hosting threaded asynchronous discussions for its members using
"WebBoard" technology. If you are already a COMBASE member please sign on for discussion groups.
Your username is made up by combining your first initial and last name, in lower case, with no
spaces. (e.g. Someone named John Doe would have username: jdoe) Your password is the first four
letters of your last name and the last four digits of your phone number, also lowercase with no
spaces. If you are a COMBASE member and cannot access the WebBoard, please contact the COMBASE
webmaster.
