Coach Carolyn Jones has been with BCC for the past five seasons and has spent that last three and a half seasons as the women’s basketball head coach. Jones’ collegiate record is 56-22 while consecutively qualifying for the Region XIX Tournament.

A native of Burlington County, Jones graduated from Burlington Township High School and Duke University where she played basketball and softball.

Jones values player development under the team umbrella with focus on improving athletic and academic performance through hard work, life balance and preparation. Her responsibilities include the overall management of the women’s basketball program, including retention and placement of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes into four-year colleges and universities.

Denise Pownes is in her first season as the BCC women’s basketball associate coach, but has been a member of the Lady Barons women’s basketball staff for the past three seasons.

Pownes has lived in Burlington County for more than 35 years and has a long history as a student-athlete having graduated from Burlington Township High School and Rutgers University. 

During her first two years at BCC, Pownes focused on defensive strategy, guard development and recruiting. She has assisted the Lady Barons to two post season trips to the Region XIX Tournament with the Barons finishing in second and third place. Currently, she oversees team defensive strategy, specials, post player development and fundraising.
