RCBC is pleased to announce Heather Conger as the new Director of Athletics. Conger, a graduate of Ewing High School and of The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) comes to RCBC from North Country Community College (Saranac Lake, NY), where she was the Director of Athletics for eight years. In her new role at RCBC, Conger will oversee the Barons' seven men's and women's sports teams, which include soccer and basketball, softball, baseball, and one of the best golf teams in the nation. She will also facilitate the college’s intramural programs and the campus-wide wellness initiative. Her responsibilities at RCBC will include the coordination of NJCAA student athlete eligibility, community outreach, practice and game schedules, summer youth camps, NJCAA and Region 19 representation, and the supervision and evaluation of coaching staff. The aquatics facility, fitness/wellness center, athletic fields and gymnasium will also be under her management.
Kristin is a graduate of Rowan University with a bachelor's and masters degree. Kristin joined Rowan College at Burlington County in 2014 from Temple Orthopedics, where she worked for eight years. Kristin works with all seven sports teams and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Athletic training room including injury assessment, management and rehabilitation. Kristin provides coverage for all home games and practices. Also, RCBC's Athletic Trainer has access to a team physician when a referral is necessary for an athletic injury. Some services offered include but not limited to ultrasound, electric stimulation, combo and warm/cold whirlpool, taping/wrapping/splinting.
Kristin also oversees the Wellness Center, which includes the hiring, training, and supervision of student workers in the Physical Education building on the Pemberton Campus.
Rose joined the RCBC Athletics department in 2013. She plays an integral role in the administration and management of the Barons Athletic Department. Her administrative duties range from NJCAA LOI preparation, budget and fundraising, to management of community membership to the facility. Loughlin also serves as the head of game day management and is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising the RCBC staff that works all College athletic events.
Loughlin completed her AA degree in Education at Burlington County College, while also receiving her BA in English and MAT from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Loughlin’s community involvement includes participation in college success initiatives through LUCY (Lifting Up Camden’s Youth) and Inter-Faith Hospitality.
