10.31.2011 | Mens and Womens Soccer
Barons Win Regional Titles in Men's and Women's Soccer 

The Barons traveled to Ocean County College on Sunday, Oct. 30 to play in the Region XIX Division I Championship.  The men kicked off first against the Vikings from Mercer County Community College.  Although both teams had several opportunities to score, it remained a scoreless first half.  However, five minutes into the second half, Fabio Machado opened the scoring off a ball from Joel McCormick.  The Vikings responded quickly and by the 60th minute were up 2-1.  Machado would earn a hat trick by adding two more goals, one from Ivan Gomez, and the other from Manuel Arismendi.  Machado's goals earned him the award for Offensive Player of the Game and the Barons the Region XIX Division I Men's Soccer Championship.  Goalie Brad Schmidt had nine saves for the Barons. 

The men will now host the Northeast District Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 5 and Sunday, Nov. 6.  The winner will travel to the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship in Phoenix, AZ.  The men will enter the tournament with an 11-1-1 record.

The women then took the field to take on Essex County College.  The Barons took no time putting one in the back of the net.  Shelby Schneeweis (Cherokee/Marlton) scored on a pass from Cassandra Worthy (Southern Regional/Manahawkin) just 12 minutes into the first half.  Worthy then added another off a direct kick with 9:56 remaining in the half. 

Worthy added another off a Danielle Zenkowich (Cinnaminson/Cinnaminson) assist in the 53rd minute of the game and Mary McDonald (Seneca, Southampton) assisted Alyssa Pacheco (Maple Shade/Maple Shade) for the final goal with 8:07 remaining.

Goalie Victoria Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) and Julia Brown (Shawnee/Medford) recorded 6 saves for the Barons.  The Barons' Schneeweis earned the Offensive Player of the Game award. 
The women will now host the Northeast District Tournament on Friday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 6. The winner will travel to the NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship in Melbourne, FL.  The women enter the tournament with a 12-2-1 record.

BCC vs. Salem
W 6-0

The Barons defeated Salem 6-0 to advance to the Region XIX Division I Finals.  Joe Butcher scored the first goal and game winner in the 20th minute off a ball from Manual Arismendi.  The Barons added three other goals from Joel McCormick, Arismendi, and Andrew Mason before the half.  Fabio Machado added two more goals for the Barons in the second half.  The men now advance to the Region finals on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. on the campus of Ocean County College.

Womens Soccer

After a scoreless first half, BCC's Susan Trezza (Cherokee/Marlton) scored the game's lone goal with 13:08 left in the game. The goal was assisted by Aimee Bergman (Holy Cross/Mt. Holly). BCC goalie Victoria Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) had five saves for the Barons in the first half and Julia Brown (Shawnee/Medford) collected three saves in the second half. 

The Barons will travel to Ocean County College this Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. for the Region XIX Division I Final vs. Essex County College.

The Barons are currently 11-2-1.

BCC vs. Sussex County College 
W 5-0

The Barons defeated Sussex County College to become Garden State Athletic Conference Champions with an undefeated GSAC record. BCC's Cassandra Worthy (Southern Regional/Manahawkin) started the scoring in the game's fourth minute from a ball from Dawn Dixon. Also in the first half, Shelby Schneeweis (Cherokee/Marlton) earned an assist on Susan Trezza's (Cherokee/Marlton) goal, and put in her own goal before the half. Ashley Sadowski (Seneca/Tabernacle) assisted another Schneeweis's goal.

Schneeweis scored again just 16 minutes into the second half from an assist from Worthy. Alyssa Pacheco (Maple Shade H. S./Maple Shade) finished the scoring off an assist by Julia Logan (NBC/Jobstown).

BCC goalies, Victoria Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) and Julia Brown (Shawnee/Medford), accumulated 5 saves.

The Barons are currently 10-2-1 and await the seedings for the Region XIX Tournament, slated to begin the weekend of October 22 and 23.

BCC vs. Montgomery College-Rockville (MD)
W 2-1

BCC defeated Montgomery–Rockville who is currently ranked fifth on the NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer poll. Barons' Cassandra Worthy (Southern Regional/Manahawkin) scored unassisted off a throw in she received about 30 yards from goal. Shelby Schneeweis (Cherokee/Marlton) scored the game winner at 8:43 assisted by Julia Logan (NBC/Jobstown).

Montgomery-Rockville's Sonia Basma scored with 6:17 left off an assist by Anna Bolanos.

BCC‘s goalie Victoria Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) recorded 4 saves in the first half, and Julia Brown (Shawnee/Medford) recorded 4 saves and had one goal against in the second half.

The Barons are now 9-2-1.

BCC vs. Del Tech Stanton
W 5-0

The Barons met Region XIX's Del Tech Stanton this weekend at Memorial Sports Complex in Evesham. Manual Arismendi opened the scoring for the Barons off a Callum Tychowski corner kick in the ninth minute of play. Tychowski added another goal with 13 minutes left in the half. In the second half, goals were added by Joel McCormick, assisted by Fabio Machado, Joe Butcher from Ivan Gomez, and Gomez from Machado. 

Barons had 25 shots, and the keeper Brad Schmidt had two saves.
The Barons are currently 9-1-1.

BCC vs. College of Southern Maryland

W 4-2

Southern Maryland's Briana Arnold opened the scoring with an unassisted goal. BCC's Julia Logan (NBC/Jobstown), assisted by Shelby Schneeweis (Cherokee/Marlton) and Dawn Dixon (Rancocas Valley/Lumberton) assisted by Cassandra Worthy (Southern Regional/Manahawkin), each scored in the first half. 

The game winner was scored by Worthy at 4:24 in the second half, off an assist by Schneeweis. Worthy then changed roles for another goal for the Barons. Southern Maryland scored with 4:42 left in the game or a final score of 4-2. 

Victoria Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) had three saves and one goal against in the first half, and Julia Brown (Shawnee/Medford) had three saves and one goal against in the second half. 

The Barons are currently 8-2-1.

BCC vs. Gloucester County College

W 2-0

BCC defeated Gloucester County College off goals from Madeline Corwin (Shawnee/Medford), assisted by a Julia Logan (NBC/Jobstown) corner, and Mary MacDonald (Seneca/Southampton).

Victoria Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) recorded three saves in the first half, and Julia Brown (Shawnee/Medford) had three saves in the second half.

BCC vs. Essex

W 4-1

The Barons hosted Essex in a Region XIX Division I match on Tuesday afternoon. After going down 1-0 late in the first half, the Barons exploded for four second half goals led by Fabio Machando, who tied the game with 36:14 left to play in the second half. He would go on to add another goal for two on the day and an assist. Joel McCormick also struck the back of the net twice in the game, and also added an assist as well. Barons' goalie Brad Schmidt finished the game with only two saves. The Barons played solid defensively, advancing their record to 8-1-1 on the year.

The Barons returned from County College of Morris after a scoreless regulation and two 10 minute overtime periods.

Victoria Hunt (Cherokee) recorded nine saves for the Barons.

The Barons are currently 6-2-1.

Barons vs. Ocean County College

The Barons were on the road again for a Region XIX Division I match against Harcum Community College.  Harcum entered the game with a 7-4 record. 

At the 26:48 mark, BCC's Shelby Schneeweis (Cherokee H.S. /Marlton) dribbled through 3 players and scored unassisted for the game winner.  Holy Cross High School's, Aimee Bergman (Mount Holly) added another for the Barons, when she scored off an assist from Dawn Dixon (Rancocas Valley High School/Lumberton).

In the first half, Barons' Keeper Tori Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) recorded 2 saves, and Julia Brown (Shawnee H.S./Medford) recorded 5 saves in the second half. 

BCC is on the road again this Saturday against County College of Morris.  They are now 6-2.

Barons vs. Harcum Community College

The Barons traveled to Ocean County this week to fall to the Vikings 5-1.  OCC is ranked #1 on the NJCAA Division III Rankings and # 2 on the NSCAA rankings.  The BCC goal was scored by Shelby Schneeweis (Cherokee H.S. /Marlton) and was assisted by Dawn Dixon (Rancocas Valley/Lumberton).  Ocean scored four of their goals in the first half and added one in the second half.  Goalie Tori Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) had 3 saves and 4 goals against, and Julia Brown (Shawnee H.S./Medford) recorded 2 saves and had 1 goal against. 

The Barons are currently 5-2-0 and will visit Gloucester on Thursday, October 12.

Barons vs. Essex County College

BCC Barons Womens Soccer

The Vikings from Mercer visited BCC on Thursday in an attempt to gain their first win of the season. After a scoreless first half, BCC came out ready to win. The Barons won the ball off the tap and scored just 15 seconds into the second half. Cassandra Worthy (Southern Regional/Manahawkin) challenged the Vikings off the start and distributed it to Aimee Bergman (Holy Cross/Mt. Holly), who assisted on Dawn Dixon's (Rancocas Valley/Lumberton) game winner. Both teams battled to the end and the Barons managed to hold on to the lead.

BCC's goalie Victoria Hunt (Cherokee/Marlton) had three saves and Julia Brown (Shawnee/Medord) had four saves.

The Barons are 5-1 and will play home again on Saturday, September 24 against Sussex CC.

Barons vs. Essex County College

BCC Barons Womens Soccer

The women's soccer team earned another win on Tuesday, September 20 when they took on Essex County College. Essex CC was undefeated coming into the game with a 2-0-0 record. The Barons went up early off of an unassisted goal from Aimee Bergman (Holy Cross H.S./Mt. Holly). Just 14 seconds into the second half, the Barons were awarded a penalty kick when Shelby Schneeweis (Cherokee H.S./Marlton) won the ball from Essex CC on the tap and dribbled into the box and was taken down. Cassandra Worthy (Southern Regional H. S./Manahawkin) took the kick and made the game 2-0. Essex CC worked itself back into the game scoring at the twenty minute and fourteen minute marks. Worthy gained the game winner off an assist from Dawn Dixon (Rancocas Valley H. S./Lumberton) with 10:48 left on the clock. BCC goalies Victoria Hunt (Cherokee H. S./Marlton) and Julia Brown (Shawnee H. S./Medford) each recorded three saves.

The Barons will be at home again on Thursday, September 22, 2011 versus Region XIX rival Mercer CCC.

Barons Go 3-0 This Week

This week, the Lady Barons went on a three win streak.  They started the week by defeating Salem CC 10-0.  Aimee Bergman (Holy Cross/Mt. Holly) broke the BCC record for fastest goal, when she opened the scoring run just 15 seconds into the game.  This was the first of four for Bergman.  Cassandra Worthy (Southern Regional/Manahawkin) also added three for the Barons.  Also netting goals for the Barons were Shelby Schneeweis (Cherokee H.S./Marlton), Dawn Dixon (Rancocas Valley/Lumberton), and Caitlin Bourque (Pemberton/Browns Mills).

On Thursday, BCC traveled to Camden County College. Schneeweis scored at the 7:12 mark with an assist by Danielle Zenkowich (Cinnaminson H. S./Cinnaminson).  Schneeweis then gave Worthy a ball that would end up in the back of the net just two minutes later.  The second half went scoreless and the Barons earned themselves another win. 

On Saturday, the Barons traveled to an undefeated Lackawanna College (Scranton, PA).  Worthy opened the scoring at 2:52 off an assist by Schneeweis.  Schneeweis got her own at the 18:37 mark off a ball from Alyssa Pacheco (Maple Shade H.S./Maple Shade).  In the second half, Bergman, Dixon, and Pachero added goals for BCC for a 5-0 win.
 
The Barons' keepers, Victoria Hunt (Cherokee H.S./Marlton), and Julia Brown (Shawnee H.S./Medford)recorded just 9 saves in all three games. 

The Barons are now 3-1 and will take on Essex CC on Tuesday, September 20 and the Vikings from Mercer on Thursday, September 22.

 


9.7.11 | Soccer
Both the men and women's soccer teams took on Harford Community College from Harford, Maryland.

The Department of Athletics opened up at home this Friday as both the men and women's soccer teams took on Harford Community College from Harford, Maryland.

The Lady Barons fell 2-1 to a team ranked ninth in the Nation. Mary MacDonald a sophomore from Seneca High School (Tabernacle, NJ), opened the scoring at 18:43 from former high school teammate, Kaitlyn Atmore. The score remained 1-0 at the half, and until Harford's Becky McManus scored at both the 59:45 and 78:10 marks. BCC's keeper Victoria Hunt played all 90 minutes for the Barons and recorder 8 saves.

The men's team opened their season with a 2-0 win over the Harford Fighting Owls. The Barons scored at 15:43 off a goal from Manuel Arismendi (Colonial H.S./Orlando, FL) assisted by Joel McCormick (Stratenburg, England), and again at the 69th minute when Joel McCormick scored from a Callum Tychowsky (The Buckingham School/England) assist.

On Saturday, the men defeated Massasoit Community College, ranked 20th in the Nation. After a scoreless first half, Barons freshman Fabio Machado scored at the 50th minute mark from an assist from Joel McCormick. McCormick then got one of his own at the 72nd minute from an assist from Joshua Paredes(
(Central Peet/Canada). Goalkeeper Christopher Miller (Shawnee H.S./Medford) recorded four saves against Harford Community College and nine saves on Sunday against Massasoit.

The Lady Barons next home games are this weekend, as they take on Montgomery College-Rockville (MD) on Saturday at 2:00 PM and the College of Southern Maryland (MD) on Sunday at 12:00 PM. The men are back in action at home on September 17 at 1:00 PM against Brooklyn, NY's ASA Institute.

Barons Earn the GSAC Championship and Top Seed

The Barons baseball team finished the 2011 regular season with a 34-18 record while compiling a perfect 10 – 0 GSAC conference record.  With their perfect record in the GSAC the Barons capture the 2011 Garden State Athletic Conference title.  BCC finished with a 12 – 2 Region 19 record earning them the top spot and first round bye in the Region 19 tournament.  The Barons will travel to Mercer County to open the tournament Friday morning at 9:00 am against Sussex County College.

Softball Team Finishes 2011 GSAC Champs

The 2011 Lady Barons finished a stellar 2011 season with a 47 – 11 regular season mark capturing the Garden State Athletic Conference Championship.  BCC entered the Region 19 tournament tied for first in Region 19 but was ultimately the number two seed due to the region tie breakers.  The Lady Barons came out of the losers bracket to fight their way to the Region 19 championship game.  In the championship the ladies fought hard but came up just short to Delaware Tech-Stanton in a 5 – 4 heartbreaker.

Jeremie Flores Earns Player of the Year Honors

Jeremie Flores leads a group of five Barons earning the Region 19 Baseball Player of the Year for 2011.  Jeremie was voted the top player in the region by the coaches of Region 19.  Flores also earned First Team All Region 19 honors as well as First Team All GSAC honors.  BCC catcher Troy Foster tied for second in the voting while earning First Team All Region 19 and First Team All GSAC honors.  Also making the top ten voting was Barons pitcher Damon Valloreo who was voted into the five slot of ten.  Valloreo's 7-0 record earned also earned him First Team All Region 19 and First All GSAC honors.  Making Second Team for Region 19 were Barons outfielder Corey Mullins and designated hitter Kevin Diamond.  Mullins also earned Second team All GSAC honors for his solid 2011 season.

BCC Golf Captures GSAC Crown

The Barons Golf team captured its fourth consecutive Garden State Athletic Conference Championship.  The Barons were lead by sophomore Mike Gonzalez who shot a 72 and sophomore Beau Guarino who was just one stroke behind with a 73 on the day.  Their strong outings earned the two First Team All GSAC honors.  The Barons will compete next week for the Region 19 title with hopes of advancing to the NJCAA National Championship.

Jill Stafford Tops the List of Honored Lady Barons

Jill Stafford was voted the 2011 NJCAA Region 19 Softball Player of the Year by the coaches within Region 19.  Jill leads a group of four Lady Barons honored by the Region.  Earning first team All Region 19 honors were Stafford and Victoria Obermeir, while both Tabitha Dick and Alexis Majury earned second team honors for Region 19.  The All GSAC team was also announced with four ladies earning honors.  Stafford, Majury and Obermier all made the first team for the GSAC with Rachelle Gremo also earning a first team honors for the conference.   Both Jill Stafford and Victoria Obermeir were voted into the top ten of all players in Region 19 and will move forward into the voting for All America honors.

Lady Barons Top 18th Ranked Delaware Tech

The Burlington County College softball team swept the NJCAA 18th nationally ranked team from Delaware Tech.-Stanton 5-3 and 6-5. Alexis Majury lead the way at the plate for the team going 2 for 4 on the day while scoring 3 runs with 2 doubles. Adding to the offense for BCC was Samantha Randour who was 2 for 2 with one RBI and Erin Sweeney who went 2 for 3 with a double. Jill Stafford picked up the win on the mound striking out 6 in her complete game effort.

In the nightcap the Lady Barons were lead by Sweeney again with her 2 for 3 performance. Majury added a solo home run to the offense. Also having a strong day at the plate was Jackie Carey who went 2 for 4 with a triple. Courtney Dolson earned the victory with Jill Stafford getting the save in relief.

With these recent wins the team ups their record to 24-6. BCC will travel to Region 19 rival Lackawanna College on Saturday April 9 for a doubleheader.

BCC Opens Season With A Victory

The BCC golf team opened its regular season yesterday with the B.C. tournament. Fourteen colleges were represented at the tournament, the biggest single tournament of the season. The Barons scored a 319 as a team with Delaware Tech. placing second with a 327. Beau Guarino was the low scorer of the day with a 75, which was the low for the entire tournament which features 84 golfers. Rounding out a solid day for the Barons were Phil Villari with a 79, Ed Meagher with an 82 and Ryan Richardson with an 83.

The Barons next match will be on April 13 at Bucks County College.

Lady Barons on the Road in Maryland

The Burlington County College Lady Barons softball team traveled to Maryland for series of games against Catonsville CC and CCBC - Dundalk. The Lady Barons opened the weekend with a victory over the Cardinals from Catonsville CC 7 to 1. Jill Stafford earned the victory on the mound, striking out seven while allowing just one run. With the win Stafford is now 8 - 1 on the season thus far. At the plate BCC was led by Alexis Majury who 3 for 4 scoring 2 runs and driving in 1 run. Also having a good day was Jackie Carey who had 2 hits and 2 RBI.

On Sunday BCC faced off against CCBC - Dundalk in double header action. The Lady Barons swept the day with 12 - 7 and 5 - 0 victories. In the early game BCC erupted for 12 runs led by Majury who went 2 for 3 with 4 runs scored and a home run. Also at the plate Brittany Feldman and Tabitha Dick had strong days. Feldman went 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Tabitha registered 3 hits on the day with 4 RBI. Tina Gindhart picked up the win for the Lady Barons on the mound.

In the nightcap, Courtney Dolson earned a shutout victory while striking out 5 in her complete game effort. Offensively Feldman and Dick continued the hitting ways with Feldman going 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 3 stolen bases. Tabitha added 2 hits and drove in one run.

The Lady Barons are now 22 - 6 and will face off against conference rival Mercer CC Tuesday April 5 at 3:00 at Mercer CC.

Barons Sweep Salem County College

BCC Barons Baseball

The BCC Barons earned two Region 19 victories Sunday with a 6 - 5 and 7 -1 sweep of the Oaks from Salem CC. In the early game the Barons were led on the mound by Damon Valloreo who pitched a solid 6 2/3 innings allowing 3 earned runs and striking out 6. With the win Valloreo ups his record to a team leading 5 - 0 on the season. AT the plate BCC was led by Troy Foster and Tyler Freeman. Foster went 2 for 2 on the day with 1 RBI and 1 runs scored. Freeman added a 1 for 2 day with a double and 2 RBI. Kevin Diamond added another double that drove in 2 runs.

In game 2 BCC got 2 early runs followed by a 5 run fifth inning. Foster continued his hitting ways going 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored. Freeman also stayed hot with another double and 3 RBI. John Montemurro and Buey Garofalo each added 2 RBI doubles a piece. Jeremie Flores added a 2 for 4 day with a run scored to the BCC offense. Jose Abinacer picked up his third win of the season going six innings allowing just one earned run for the Barons.

BCC ups its record to 21 - 12 staying undefeated at 4 - 0 in Region 19 play. The Barons will host Union CC at 3:30 Tuesday April 5.

The Barons baseball team erupted for 16 runs on 16 hits in an afternoon game at Camden County College. The offense was lead by Jeremie Flores who 3 for 4 with a home run and seven RBI. Adding to the outburst was Don Strain who was 4 for 4 including a double 2 RBI. Tyler Freeman went 3 for 5 adding another double with 2 RBI for the Barons. Matt Schoettle was able to pick up the victory in relief

The team is now 19 - 12 for the season. The next game is scheduled for a doubleheader Saturday against Salem CC here at 12:00.

Burlington CC Tops Mercer CC

The Barons baseball team topped Mercer County College 8 - 3 and 9 - 8 in both games of their double header on Saturday. In the first game, Damon Valloreo lead the way on the mound pitching 6 strong innings, striking out while earning his fourth win of the season. At the plate, BCC was lead by Corey Mullins and Jeremie Flores who both went 2 for 3 on the day. Joel Feliz also had a solid day going 2 for 4.

In the twilight game of the series, BCC came back from a 8 - 1 deficit with an eight run 6th inning to beat the Vikings of Mercer. Kevin came in the game in relief and pitched brilliantly allowing BCC to climb back into the game. The eight run 6th inning was topped off by a home run by BCC shortstop Tyler Freeman. Freeman went 2 for 3 on the day adding a double to his totals.

"Its nice to open up conference play with a sweep," added head Coach John Holt. "The team fought hard and pulled out two very nice wins."

The team is now 2 - 0 in both Region 19 and GSAC play.

The Lady Barons Took Advantage of the Eight Run Mercy Rule

The Lady Barons took advantage of the eight run mercy rule to sweep a double header against the visiting Mustangs of Monroe College. In game one, Jillian Stafford earned the win pitching five innings allowing just one hit and one unearned run. The offense for the Lady Barons was lead by Tabitha Dick who went 2 for 2 on the day with a double and 4 RBI. Also swinging a hot bat was Tori Obermeier who was 2 for 3 for the game.

In the nightcap BCC upped the record to 19 - 6 with the 10 - 2 victory. Tabitha Dick continued her strong day with a 2 for 3 performance with single a triple and two RBI. Ashleigh Johnson earned the win on the mound for BCC pitching 5 innings and allowing no earned runs.

The team will travel to Maryland this weekend to face Harford Community College.

Barons Split With Middlesex

BCC Barons Baseball Players 10 and 8

The BCC baseball team was unable to overcome a 3 run 3rd inning by the Colts of Middlesex CC dropping the first game of their doubleheader 3-0. The Barons were unable to muster much offense with exception of Tyler Freeman who had two hits in the game.

The Barons were able to bounce back in the second game topping MCC 7-2. Dave Hatt pitched a solid five innings to earn the victory for the Barons. Offensively BCC was lead by Buey Garofalo who went 3 for 4 on the day and Cris Garrett who was 2 for 4 in the game with a stolen base.

"The team showed some character coming back after the first game," said Head Coach John Holt. "We still haven't played our best baseball yet which is a good sign of things to come."

The Softball Team is Off to a Very Hot Start on the 2011 Season

Lady Barons Softball

The Lady Barons of BCC downed conference opponent County College of Morris 68 - 42. BCC was led in scoring by Jeneya Aberbathy, Chardae Ducile, Radiance Felton and Brittany Sutton: each scoring 11 points. Defensively, Sutton added three blocked shots to her stat sheet. Also on the defensive end Shanavia Thomas pulled down 9 rebounds in the winning effort. The Lady Barons will face off next against GSAC Conference opponent Essex County College at the PE Building in Pemberton on Tuesday January 25 with tip off at 5:00 pm.

The Baseball Team Returned Home from their Third and Final Trip of the Year with a 15 - 11 Overall Record

BCC Barons Baseball Players 24 and 12

The baseball team returned home from their third and final trip of the year with a 15 - 11 overall record. So far this season the team has been lead on the mound by sophomore pitcher Damon Valloreo. Valloreo has a 3 - 0 win loss record to date with an ERA of 1.80. All three of his starts have been complete games. Also having success on the mound this season are Jose Abinacer (2-0, 3.71 ERA) and Kevin Joo (2-0, 1.67 ERA). At the plate, the team has been firing on all cylinders. Leading the way has been Kevin Diamond with a 386 batting average while leading the team in RBI's (12) and doubles (7). Also having good seasons at the plate are Corey Mullins and Troy foster who have 390 and 373 batting averages respectively. While on the Florida leg of the trip Matt Szukics batted 500 upping his season average to 355.

The Barons will open up conference play this weekend as they host Mercer County Community College.
