Jack Verthm, Central Defender/Striker
Jack Verth is a freshman from Broxburn High School in Scotland. He was a central defender converted into a striker due to injuries, and has come to be a vital part of the Barons. In October, he contributed 13 goals, and scored two hat tricks. Jack is a captain and leader on and off the field. |
Mama Traore, Center #5
Mama Traore came to BCC as a walk-on from Mali, Africa. She is a Sophomore Center and 2nd year Team Captain. As a freshman Mama made the All Region Academic Team; 1st Team All Region and 1st Team Garden State Athletic Conference.
At 6'1 Mama dominates post play but can hit the outside jumper as well. Eleven games into the season Mama averages a double-double at 20.6 PPG and 15.4 RPG shooting 45% from the field. Nationally, she is ranked 7th in scoring and 2nd in rebounding. Mama plays hard on both ends of the floor averaging 2.2 steals and 1.9 blocks per game.
