IEP-201 Introduction to Interpreting 3 cr. (anticipated to be offered during Fall)
Continued emphasis is on ethical, professional behavior and skills necessary
to prepare and perform as an interpreter in a variety of settings.
Interpreting in the mental health and social services fields is included.
And interpreting with a varied clientele including individuals who are
deaf and blind is explored. Class discussions and evaluations are
based upon readings, mock vignettes, and videotapes.
Prerequisites:
IEP-102 Interpreter Ethics 3 cr.
