ASL-104 Fingerspelling 3 cr.

This course is designed for students with limited knowledge of Deaf American culture or its language, American Sign Language (ASL).  Training is designed to build on demonstrated receptive and expressive skills in the language and to lay a basic foundation for and build upon receptive and expressive skills in fingerspelling.  Overviews of fingerspelling theory and practice are given through demonstration and videotapes.

Prerequisites:  ASL-101 Elementary Sign Language I 3 cr. and ASL-103 Deafness & Culture 3 cr.

Corequisites:  ASL-102 Elementary American Sign Language II  3 cr.
