Professional Bio
Dr. Joseph McCadden received his B.A. (cum laude) in English from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Fordham University. His dissertation, The Hero's Flight From Women in the Fiction of Saul Bellow, was published by University Press.

Dr. McCadden has taught English Composition and Literature courses at Burlington County College since 1970. In addition to this teaching responsibilities, Dr. McCadden also coordinates the Adjunct Institute, serves on various college committees. During the academic year 2006-7, Dr> McCadden is the past president of the Faculty Senate and coordinator of the Adjunct Institute.

The Hero's Flight From Women in the Fiction of Saul Bellow, published by University Press.

Areas of Interest
Dr. McCadden, as can be expected, is an avid reader particularly of American literature and history. During the summer he enjoyed reading Lincoln and a Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin and A Plot Against America by Philip Roth. Dr. McCadden is also a student of human nature, who is interested in how technology is affecting contemporary students.
