ETC LAB

The ETC is a small teaching lab with 7 workstations for educational technology workshops.

In addition to the 7 Pentium III 450mhz, 128MB RAM, multimedia capable workstations, there are two scanners, two color printers and one laser printer, a video projector, a copy stand with digital camera and a TV with a VCR.

Copystand, Mac and Teleforms workstations Hardware and software are available for HTML and multimedia authoring as well as for video and audio capture.  Audio editing software is available for manipulating sound files.  Digital image editing software is available and can be used with scanned or digitally photographed images.  Appropriate software is available for making digital audio, video and images web-ready, and for integrating such materials into multimedia programs.  Each machine also has a standard BCC load-set of productivity software including Microsoft Office and Netscape navigator.  Many machines also have terminal emulation software for connection to the College's minicomputer.  All of the computers are connected to the BCC network for Internet access and resource sharing.

 ETC Personnel

The Educational Technology Center at Burlington County College is directed by Martin Hoffman, BCC's Educational Technology Specialist.  Martin has a Bachelor's degree in Literature and Communications, a Master's degree in Telecommunications and has 25 years of experience in the application of instructional technology.

Martin came to BCC after 13 years at Pace University in their Educational Media Department.
