ETC Mission and Goals


The Educational Technology Center (ETC) at Burlington County College was established in 1996 for faculty and staff development.

Mission

Educational Technology Center

The Educational Technology Center provides leadership and training to faculty and other College personnel, in order to promote and encourage the incorporation of appropriate technologies into their activities at the College. Emphasis is given to technologies that directly enhance the curriculum.

Goals

Conference Area

  1. The Center provides rapid response, task specific, technology training and support to faculty, upon request. This training usually takes the form of one-on-one coaching or tutoring.  

  2. The ETC Lab is a small classroom / laboratory facility that is used for: technology related workshops and seminars; faculty and staff technology projects; small group meetings and other uses as required.  

  3. The Center periodically assesses the technology needs of the College to inform the College community of current technology trends and technologies that could enhance the College's ability to perform its mission and meet its goals.  

  4. The Center develops and offers in-service workshops on available technologies to faculty, staff, administration, partners and other members of the College community.

Technology and Engineering Center - Interior Detail

Although the Center is located on the College's Pemberton campus, Technology and Engineering Center the Educational Technology Specialist does make occasional trips to the Mt. Laurel campus to run classes and for open consultation hours. Please see the current ETC class schedule for regularly scheduled visits to Mt. Laurel or call the Center and request a visit at your convenience!
