		Educational technology can be divided into two "types" – technologies which serve to make educators more effective in the classroom or those which can make educators more efficient outside of the classroom.  Join Martin Hoffman in the ETC Lab, on the dates and times indicated below, to explore "type two" software that is newly available to BCC Faculty.  Each of these applications may help to improve efficiency outside of class, leaving more time to concentrate on teaching!   All session will be held in Parker 311A.  Seating is limited and reservations are required. Call extension 7782 at (609) 894-9311 or e-mail mhoffman@bcc.edu to reserve a seat now!   GroupWise WebAccess is the web-based interface into BCC's e-mail system.  It can be used to send and receive email with your "@bcc.edu" e-mail account from any computer on the Internet using a standard web browser.  This system became available to all faculty last year. ParScore is a network based grade book program that is designed to work automatically with the Scantron scanners in the Test Center.  It can also be used for manual grade entry and to track attendance.  This package is available on-campus only and has been recently upgraded to support greater functionality. WebAdvisor for Faculty is a real-time, web-based interface into BCC's DataTel Student Information System.  It allows faculty to check their rosters and class schedules from any computer on the Internet using a standard web browser.  It also allows faculty to enter grades on-line.  We anticipate that all faculty will be using WebAdvisor shortly, but you can start using it in the Fall!
