WebAdvisor for Faculty is a real-time, web-based interface into BCC's DataTel Student Information System. It allows faculty to check their rosters and class schedules from any computer on the Internet using a standard web browser. It is also used by faculty to enter grades on-line. Various handouts on the use of WebAdvisor are available for download below.

You have two choices of format. The Word format requires Microsoft Word to open and the Acrobat format requires Adobe Acrobat to open. Both contain identical documents. If you do not already have Acrobat installed on your computer, and you want it, you can download the Reader for free from Adobe's website at http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html. Follow the directions on the Adobe website to properly install the software.

All grades, starting with the Fall 2003 semester, will be submitted via electronic grade submission. The handbook is designed to supplement the training already provided to faculty. Please review these materials carefully before submitting grades electronically. Electronic grades submission is mandatory. The Registration office will not be accepting paper grade submissions.

Faculty will enter "I" and "X" grades in WebAdvisor, but must submit signed contracts on paper, just as in the past. Click the link which follows to download printable copies of "I" and "X" contract forms.

Changing your Password in WebAdvisor



Many faculty and staff members keep web pages up-to date with the latest information about their courses, programs or activities. Thes pages can be found on The BCC Staff Web Server. If you are a faculty or staff member and would like instructions on updating your web page, please click on the link below to open a Microsoft Word document on the topic. GroupWise WebAccess Information

Novell Groupwise Webaccess, the BCC Faculty/Staff e-mail server, can be accessed from the World Wide Web. Documentation is available on-line.

Full documentation for the server's web interface can be viewed on Novell's website using your web browser to navigate through the document.

If you wish to download or print the documentation you will need to have Adobe Acrobat installed on your PC. If you do not have Acrobat, it can be downloaded for free from Adobe. After downloading Acrobat it must then be installed on your computer before you can use it. Once you have Acrobat installed the documentation can be downloaded from Novell's website at http://www.novell.com/documentation/lg/gw65/pdfdoc/gw65_userweb/gw65_userweb.pdf.
